Gum Disease Surgery

Frenectomy
Frenum is an attachment from lip, tongue or cheek to the gum between teeth. This is a normal natomy however in some cases it can interfere with movement of tongue or displacement of teeth. In these cases, it can be removed using laser dentistry with no bleeding or discomfort.

Biopsy of Cysts and Lesions
Most lesions persisting over two weeks and their nature could not be established clinically, should be removed and checked under the magnification of microscope to determine their real identity. This can be done by biopsy which can help determining the need of ant treatment if any.

Crown Lenghtening
Increase in the lenght of the tooth crown is becoming necessary due to anatomical short crowns or extensive damage to crowns. This operation can also be used when a crown needs to be placed and short crown does not provide enough retention or when cosmetic improvement is desirable.

Root Amputation / Tooth Hemi-section
When infection or extensive cavities damage half of a tooth with two roots or more, it is possible to try to save the tooth rather than extracting it by removing one root or sectioning the damaged section of tooth.This would be considered the last resort before extracting the tooth.

Bone Grafting
The jaw bone is the back support for holding teeth and implants in place. In lack of enough quantity of bone, it becomes ne essary to replace it to re construct the bone. This is more appicable when placement of implants projected. The bone can be sourced from natural or syntetic origins.
